John 3:16

The challenge this week from Rebekah over at Bible Art Journal Challenge for week 5 is John 3:16.  She painted a lovely image of hands holding the world.  I liked the hands but wanted something a bit different.  I found a great image (google images) of an infant holding onto his fathers thumb.



Here is my interpretation in my journaling Bible on the page that the scripture is on.


I colored it with plain colored pencils.  Happy with the way it turned out even though the first finger is a bit off in perspective.  I still think it represents my thoughts as I read this verse.
